Christiane Smit, Moonhouse’s owner, is a ceramic artist, accessories designer and model. Chic, sophisticated, witty with a punctuating sense of humor, her striking beauty and minimal aesthetic mirror the mood of Moonhouse.
She lived nearby during the villa’s construction and oversaw every moment of construction it took to build this homage to Artemis, the goddess of moonlight, and the memory of her mother.
Christiane was born in the Netherlands, and spent much of her time in the Caribbean, a place her mother loved. An island girl at heart, she settled in Greece over a decade ago, and fell in love with Paros. It’s here that she finds peace and solace, and now hopes to share that feeling with travelers from around the world. Welcome to Moonhouse.
