American photographer Janelle Ruth Pietrzak, who is based in Los Angeles, is happiest when wandering with an analog camera in hand. When she turns down quiet streets and pauses in places where tourism has yet to make its presence loudly felt, where the everyday lives of locals quietly reveal themselves in the early morning hours that small towns greet as a matter of routine. Pietrzak loves to explore and document, returning from her travels with bags full of film rolls.
